MAA MRP Part 145

DESCRIPTION

AACE were contracted to provide specialist support and advice for AAR to achieve MAA MRP Part 145 approval as a military aircraft components maintenance organisation. This was then expanded to provide support and advice on developing a functioning Safety Management System (SMS) and the provision and delivery of mandatory airworthiness training, including initial and refresher training on an annual basis.

Following on from the approval, further specialist support and advice was provided for the Company to achieve ISO 9001:2015, AS9100, AS9110 and AS9120 certification.

SCOPE

The scope included the requirement to conduct audits against the MRP 145, ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9110 and AS9120 standards and identify areas for improvement, including both business and operational risk management. Further requirements for annual health checks on the above management systems were included once approval and certification had been gained.

OUTPUT DELIVERED

In each case, following the AACE audits, a comprehensive report was produced highlighting areas for improvement and non-compliance with the relevant standards and included recommendations on best practice to meet compliance. Where required, compliant documentation was produced and briefed to all on delivery, including MRP 145 Management Organisation Exposition (MOE), risk and safety management procedures, Human Factors (HF) requirements and investigations. In addition, training was delivered in HF, Error Management and Investigation Techniques, SMS, Root Cause Analysis, Counterfeit and Suspected Unapproved Parts, Supervision Roles and Responsibilities, Form 4 Holders Roles and Responsibilities.

Annual health check audits are conducted on all the management systems that are supported with full reports highlighting observations, non-compliance, best practice and areas for improvements, complete with suggested recommendations and where required production or amendment of applicable documentation.

AAR have since achieved the AS9100, 9110 and 9120 standards.
